Our Approach to Working with the University of Oxford

University of OxfordThe University of Oxford is the oldest surviving university in the English-speaking world and is regarded as one of the world’s leading academic institutions.  Twenty3design has been working with research departments within the University to create branding, websites and bespoke developments to help with the Universities ongoing research collaborations.  Recently we have developed portals and communication solutions for PREPARE and IKIMP, two vastly different research projects who required better ways to communicate within their own dispersed members; as well as the press and media, and the general public.  Among many other projects (such as logo creation and consultancy) Twenty3design has successfully provided solutions in the following ways:

Creating central web presences

IKIMP SiteUsing open source and bespoke Content Management Solutions we have been able to design and develop great looking and functional web presences for the University.  Each site has it’s own unique branding and is designed to exist as a standalone portal to communicate information with the public.

Each department of the Oxford University, that we have created websites for, also has complete control over their content.  The user back-end admin section enables anyone associated with the website to edit it in real time, with all the tools and flexibility of a rich text editor

Enabling communication between groups

IKIMP WikiBy utilising and enhancing award winning open source software we have created graphically pleasing and feature rich places for research groups to communicate.  Using a central location to store files and discuss topics, groups within the University can communicate and organise from a dedicated central location.  As you can imagine this saves on endless email strings and enables the groups to retain knowledge in a more organised and useful way.

Our ongoing maintenance and enhancement of these services ensures that these research groups can continue to better their communication and take better advantage of new available technology.
