Code Monkey for Hire is the Twenty3design PSD to HTML service. The design reflects quality coding based on a fun design. George (our code monkey) is available for many short to long term projects, and he specialises in Wordpress themes.

We were asked by Kay Fenton Photography to create a site which focuses mainly on recent photographs. The site was inspired by her studio decoration (black back drops with patterned wallpaper), and is a simple, classic design.

Riding in Action is a family run Motorcycle training company. The brief was to create a clean and engaging website that has the ability to form a small community through the use of blogs and articles, while at the same time promote the training school’s courses.

Oodle Internet is Twenty3design’s web hosting side project.  Twenty3design generally hosts most of the websites we design and develop, this gives us great control over the technology we use and we know that our security and requirements are met.  Oodle also offers web hosting and domains to non-clients at great prices.

On a site I’m making for a client they have various menu levels and in one place they needed to return the links from the second level no matter what level below that in the tree you were on. Basically treating the second level as if it were the top level. If it was the top level then Wordpress has a nice handy function built in for us, but for this there is a bit more coding involved.

Getting your page parent id is fairly simple:

}

so to take this a step further and find out if this parent had a parent you need to place the following function in your “functions.php” file in your theme:

Here we are checking the database for the parent of the ID we’ve passed in and returning if there is anything, thus letting us know if there is another parent or not. (I’m just returning true/false, but you could return the ID of the parent if you wanted.)

Once I get my response from the database I can then either print the title of the current page, or the one above.

The Silverstone event is the bigest event in the MG calendar and the poster is used for all of the build-up as well as other marketing for the event.  The Car Club has a large membership across a number of generations so the balance of the poster had to be right.

The Car Club were really happy with the outcome and we got some great feedback from it:

We were asked to create the official poster for the MG Live! event at Silverstone, taking place in June 2010.

After consulting with the MG Car Club and gathering assets, we created a draft version for approval.  Finally creating the large scale print ready version, to be used as A3 posters, magazine cover and general event promotion.

As part of a re-branding project for the Alumni Network we were asked to create a new CMS based website.  The website also includes a fully functioning social members network area.

We were asked to design and develop the Oxford United membership club website. The site is a full CMS and also manages member only content as well as member details.
