Another IE 6 rant

I hate Internet Exploprer 6 (I used it’s full name, rather than the net worthy IE6, because it’s in trouble).

Internet Explorer 6 is an irritating decrepit old parrot, who pipes up and makes my work the balancing act it shouldn’t need to be. If you’re reading this and you’re not a web designer or developer then I’m sorry this might seem an odd thing to dislike, after all it does show us websites, but it show’s us those websites through a muddy window with a great big crack up the middle. Internet Explorer 6 still exists in great numbers, it forces people like to me to do 10 things when 1 would have done, it looks ugly, renders text badly, goes crazy if you try and use some javascript, it doesn’t know what padding and margins are and I saw it trying to chat your girlfriend up in the pub on Wednesday. What a git Internet Explorer 6 is, it’s an old git who is stubborn and un-compromising and at the same time it’s a child who is petulant and whose parents can’t bring themselves to send it to a special school.

A good time to stop I think.

For the record my Internet browser of choice is the superb FireFox (now on version 3).

Just trust me, if you are using Internet Explorer 6, you shouldn’t be. Stop it.
